Are you thinking about visiting Presbyterian Church of the Covenant?

Do you remember the first time you drove into the parking lot of a new church?  Or perhaps you've never been to any church and Covenant will be your first experience.  Most likely, the first questions running through your mind is: What is this church like?  And will I like it?

Here are some answers to the most common questions about what you're likely to find at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, so that you'll feel as comfortable as possible from the moment you drive into the parking lot to the moment you leave with a lift in your spirit.

  • First, even though you'll see lots of cars, you'll find plenty of parking space.

  • You'll be greeted at the door by friendly, helpful greeters who will quickly guide you to where you want to go.

  • If you have an infant through 5 year old, you'll be pleased to know that we have one of the cleanest, safest, most well-organized nurseries in our area.  We do encourage parents to bring children to worship sot hat they may feel included in our family of faith.

  • No one will embarrass you at any time.  You won't be asked to stand and identify yourself as a "visitor," and you won't be asked to say anything.

  • The Pastor will call all children (usually those in the third grade and younger) forward for a special time spent sitting on the chancel steps talking about Jesus or applying the scripture of the day to their lives.

  • Our worship is traditional with a relaxed feel.  Each worship service is designed with a theme around which all elements of worship (music, scripture, sermon, prayers, etc.) are built.  Through the course of a year we try to address the paradox of life - joy/sorrow, birth/death, success/failure, blessings/curses, health/disease.

  • Our worship is very easy to follow.   Everyone is asked to stand or sit at tht same time, so you'll never find yourself standing when everyone is sitting or sitting when everyone is standing.  Also, all hymns, service music, and spoken parts are clearly marked in a bulletin, directing you where to find them.  There are no "secret" parts of our worship that only the "insiders" know about.

  • Our facilities are clean, modern and attractive.   You'll find easy-to-follow signs outside and inside the buildings, directing you to different parts of our campus.

  • We have an active children's program designed to help your children feel loved and confident because they are a special child of God.  Our special children's programs include Sunday School (9-10:10 a.m.), Kings Kids for K-6th grade- (Wednesdays 4-6 pm, during the school year).
